Scholarship Summary:
The Nottingham Regional Excellence awards support high-achieving international scholars from around the world who can put their Nottingham degree to great use in their careers. Each award covers a contribution towards tuition fees for a postgraduate masters degree programme at Nottingham.
You should apply for the regional excellence award for your country of domicile rather than your nationality – unless you are studying in the UK, in which case you should apply for the UK International Postgraduate Excellence Award.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To apply for this scholarship, you must:
i. be classed as an overseas student for fee purposes
ii. hold an offer to start a full-time masters (including MRes) for 2024/25 in any subject area at the University of Nottingham UK
Value of Scholarship:
The Nottingham Regional Excellence Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. Africa Postgraduate Excellence Award - £4,000 to £8,000 tuition fee scholarship
ii. Americas Postgraduate Excellence Award - £4,000 to £8,000 tuition fee scholarship
iii. ASEAN and Oceania Postgraduate Excellence Award - £4,000 to £8,000 tuition fee scholarship
iv. East Asia Postgraduate Excellence Award - £4,000 tuition fee scholarship
v. Europe Postgraduate Excellence Award - £4,000 to £8,000 tuition fee scholarship
vi. Middle East and Turkey Postgraduate Excellence Award - £4,000 to £8,000 tuition fee scholarship
vii. South Asia Postgraduate Excellence Award - £4,000 to £8,000 tuition fee scholarship
viii. Commonwealth of Independent States Postgraduate Excellence Award - £4,000 tuition fee scholarship
Scholarship Application Guide:
To apply;
i. You must apply for and receive an offer to study a full-time masters (including MRes) at the University of Nottingham before applying for this scholarship.
ii. When you have received your offer to study at Nottingham, you can apply through the scholarships section of the application system, NottinghamHub.
- You will need to answer questions about your achievements, study plans and reasons for choosing to study at the University of Nottingham. Make sure you have enough time to prepare strong answers. Nottingham will assess your responses and academic merit when making scholarship decisions.
iii. Scholarships will be awarded after assessing all scholarship applications and you may be offered a a scholarship value depending on your subject of study and the strength of your application. You will be contacted in July 2024 to confirm the outcome of your application
