Scholarship Summary:
Domestic undergraduate students at TROY are eligible for several scholarship opportunities that assist with the affordability of degree programs.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
For the Scholar’s PLUS Award
i. Obtain a minimum high school GPA of 3.7
ii. Have a minimum ACT score of 33 or a minimum SAT score of 1450
For the Scholar’s Award
i. Obtain a minimum high school GPA of 3.7
ii. Have a minimum ACT score of 30 or a minimum SAT score of 1360
For the Chancellor’s Scholarship
i. Obtain a minimum high school GPA of 3.5
ii. Have a minimum ACT score of 26 or a minimum SAT score of 1230
For the Sorrell Scholars Award
i. Applicants must be entering for an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Economics or Global Business.
ii. Demonstrate academic superiority
For the Trojan Opportunity Expanded Scholarship
i. Obtain a minimum high school GPA of 3.0
ii. Have a minimum ACT score of 20 or a minimum SAT score of 1030
For the Trojan Leadership Scholarship
i. Obtain a minimum high school GPA of 3.0
ii. Have a minimum ACT score of 20 or a minimum SAT score of 1030
Value of Scholarship:
The Troy University Freshmen Merit Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. The Scholar’s PLUS Award covers the in-state tuition cost, full housing and meal plan
ii. The Scholar’s Award covers the in-state tuition cost and traditional housing
iii. The Chancellor’s Scholarship is valued from $6,000 - $10,000
iv. The Sorrell Scholars Award is valued from $1,500 - $3,000
v. The Trojan Opportunity Expanded Scholarship covers the out-of-state tuition. This scholarship is for out-of-state residents only
vi. The Trojan Leadership Scholarship is valued from $2,000 - $4,000 annually.
