Scholarship Summary:
The University of Strathclyde’s Faculty of Engineering is pleased to offer a number of scholarships for their undergraduate, postgraduate taught, and postgraduate research programmes. All self-funded, international (non-EU) fee-paying offer holders with strong academic qualifications are encouraged to apply.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
The following criteria are necessary for consideration;
General Criteria
i. The Faculty of Engineering’s International Scholarships are only open for self-funded, international (non-EU) fee-paying applicants enrolling on a full-time course.  Those who receive full sponsorship from a government office or embassy are not eligible to apply.
ii. Applicants must hold an offer to study a full-time course in the the Faculty of Engineering for 2024/25 academic year.

Undergraduate
i. Applicants with strong academic performance in high school are encouraged to apply. Scholarship decisions will be made on the basis of information contained in your undergraduate admissions and scholarship applications.

Postgraduate Taught and Research
i. For the Faculty of Engineering International Scholarship, applicants should have a 2:1 (or equivalent) in their undergraduate degree.

Value of Scholarship:
The Strathclyde Faculty of Engineering Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. The value of the Undergraduate International award is equivalent to a 10% reduction of your tuition fees for each year of study. This is typically £2,670 for your first year of study on programmes.
ii. The value of the Postgraduate Taught International award is equivalent to a 15% reduction of your tuition fees for your first year of study. This is typically £4.240 for programmes. If you are studying a two-year MSc programme, you will receive a 15% scholarship for your first year only.
iii. The value of the Postgraduate Research International award is equivalent to a 15% reduction of your tuition fees for each year of study.

Scholarship Application Guide: 
The application process for this scholarship is as follows;
Step 1 - Apply for the engineering course of your choice
Step 2 - Receive an offer letter for your degree programme
Step 3 – Submit the scholarship application form before the stated deadline. You should write no more than 500 words on why you should receive a Faculty of Engineering International Scholarship
Step 4 - If you're successful, you'll receive your scholarship offer letter via email.

Note: Applicants only need to submit a single application to be considered for available scholarships.
