Transylvania University offers merit scholarships to high-performing incoming freshmen (domestic and international). These awards are given based on application materials, ACT scores (or SAT equivalent) and GPA.

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
For domestic students
i. Obtain a minimum high school GPA of 3.0+
ii. Earn a minimum test score; 1060+ SAT/21+ ACT

International scholarships are awarded based on a holistic review of the student’s application and will be automatically considered upon application.

The Transylvania merit scholarships are valued as follows;
For domestic students
i. President's - $26,000 annually (31 ACT and 4.0 GPA required)
ii. Morrison - $25,000 annually (29 ACT and 4.0 GPA required)
iii. Pioneer - $24,000 annually (26 ACT and 3.5 GPA required)
iv. Founders' - $20,000 annually (23 ACT and 3.2 GPA required)
v. Crimson - $10,000 annually (21 ACT and 3.0 GPA required)
For international students
i. Global Superior - $20,000 annually
ii. Global Excellence - $18,000 annually
iii. Global Prestige - $15,000 annually
