Scholarship Summary:
UNO offers the competitive Homer Hitt scholarship to high performing freshmen students (domestic and international). The Homer-Hitt scholarship is awarded based on academic credentials and student accomplishments reviewed through the admission's process. A separate scholarship application is not required, but ACT or SAT test scores and an official, current high school transcript should be submitted as soon as possible.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
The award is based on the following requirements;
i. Earn minimum ACT composite score of 32 or its SAT equivalent of 1420
ii. Earn a minimum high school GPA of 3.5 (non-weighted, cumulative)
Value of Scholarship:
The Homer-Hitt Scholarship is valued as follows;
i. For domestic students, award amount is $75,000 over a four-year period.
ii. For international students, award amount could reach up to $16,429 + non-resident fee annually; the total value over the four years could reach up to $65,716

i. A separate scholarship application is not required; simply apply and submit all necessary documentation as stated in the applications page.
ii. For domestic students, eligible students will be invited to an interview by the Admissions Office which will hold on the 1st - 10th of March, 2024. International students will be interviewed virtually.
