Scholarship Summary: 
If you’re an out-of-state domestic student or international student with at least a 3.0 high school GPA, you will qualify for a four-year scholarship of a minimum of $10,000 upon admission into VCU. 

These scholarships are meant to acknowledge strong academic achievements and to offset the higher tuition and fees charged to non-Virginia students. International students are considered out-of-state students for tuition purposes.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
To be considered, you must:
Have a minimum 3.0 high school GPA 
Be classified as an out-of-state or international student (not a Virginia resident)
Apply to a VCU degree-seeking program as a first-year student for a fall term

Value of Scholarship: 
The VCU Out-of-State Freshman Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. 3.0 GPA: $10,000 annually
ii. 3.25 GPA: $11,000 annually 
iii. 3.5 GPA: $12,000 annually
iv. 3.75 GPA: $14,000 annually
v. 4.0 GPA: $15,000 annually

Scholarship Application Guide: 
Out-of-state, first-year applicants are encouraged to submit by the above deadline to be considered.
