Scholarship Summary:
Bucknell considers all applicants for financial assistance, but only a small number of highly qualified international applicants are ultimately chosen to receive financial assistance. Please be aware that competition is higher for applicants with higher financial need.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Be international fee-paying students admitted for undergraduate study at Bucknell
ii. Demonstrate financial need through an application process
Note: Bucknell is currently not "need-blind" for international students. A family's financial contribution toward a student's educational costs at Bucknell is, therefore, part of the admissions decision, along with the other factors such as academic achievements, standardized test scores, inclinations for leadership and service, unique perspectives and character qualities, special talents and geographic backgrounds.
Value of Scholarship:
The Bucknell International Financial Aid varies in amount.
Scholarship Application Guide:
In order to apply for aid:
1) Students must submit the International Student Application for Financial Assistance (ISAFA).
2) A certified original bank statement is also required to establish proof of financial support as required for the student visa process (see a sample bank statement here).
3) Due to yearly increases in tuition and fees, it is recommended that students increase the amount of family support by an estimated 3.5% for each year of study.
4) The CSS PROFILE is not required for international students
Even if you do not plan to apply for financial aid, you must:
1) Complete and submit the Financial Certification Document
2) Along with a certified original bank statement
All financial documents should be submitted by either the portal or email:
- Admissions Office (not the Financial Aid Office) by uploading them through your admission portal
- Email them to appdocs@bucknell.edu
