Merit Scholarships are awarded to qualified domestic first-year students by Alvernia University, on a competitive basis and it is independent of financial need.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
There are no set criteria for consideration but past recipients were in the top 40% of the applicant pool.
Value of Scholarship:
The Alvernia First-Year Merit Scholarships are namely as follows;
i. Boscov Scholarship: $29,000/year
ii. Presidential Scholarship: $28,000/year
iii. Trustees' Scholarship: $27,000/year
iv. Veronica Founder's Scholarship: $25,000/year
v. Heritage Award: $23,000/year
Scholarship Application Guide:
There’s no separate scholarship application; scholarships are automatically awarded upon review of by the Alvernia Admissions Staff and are renewable as long as recipients maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average, continue be full-time students and engage in service to the University and the community.
