The University of Arkansas - Fort Smith provides merit-based prestigious scholarships to our most academically successful domestic and international students in the form of Freshman Prestigious Scholarships. UAFS Freshman Prestigious Scholarships require a separate application in addition to the UAFS Application for Admissions. Eligible students will be those high school seniors graduating in the spring and begin seeking a bachelor degree through UAFS in the Fall of that same year. All scholarships are for 4 years or completion of undergraduate degree.

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Earn a minimum ACT score of 27+

Value of Scholarship:
The UAFS Prestigious Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. First Bank Corp. Business - Full tuition and fees over four years, or until degree completion and optional $2,500 housing for 2 years
ii. Myles Friedman Honors Program - Full in-state tuition and mandatory fees (approximately $7,338.50 per year {$3,669.25 each fall and spring semester}) and optional $2,500 housing for 2 years [open to international students]
iii. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering*, and Mathematics) - $5,500 for tuition and fees each year and optional $2,500 housing for 2 years
iv. Prestigious Roland S. Boreham Jr. Engineering Scholarship - Full tuition and fees over four years, or until degree completion (including books & supplies, plus a laptop computer) and optional $2,000 for on-campus housing each year
*Engineering majors: This scholarship will only apply while you are completing the Associate of Science in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering.

i. Complete an admission application into UAFS.
ii. Complete the Prestigious Scholarship Application which is available through the Admissions Application Status Portal.
ALL materials for the Application for Admission and Scholarship Application should be received by the priority application deadline for priority consideration.
iii. Selected applicants will be invited for a competitive interview.
