Scholarship Summary: 
Fort Lewis College offers a tuition waiver for enrolled members or the children of an enrolled member of an American Indian Tribal Nation or Alaska Native Village recognized by the US federal government (US citizens only). This waiver is available for both undergraduate and graduate study.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
To be eligible, applicants must be
i. An enrolled Tribal Member OR
 ii. Descended from an enrolled Tribal Member

Value of Scholarship: 
The NATW only covers the tuition costs for Undergraduate, Graduate, and non-degree seeking students.

You will be responsible for all other costs associated with attendance, including books, student fees, and room and board.

Scholarship Application Guide: 
To apply:
i. You must apply to FLC and be accepted to begin the NATW process.
ii. Undergraduate students should show eligibility for the NATW by one of two ways:
  a. Upload your tribal enrollment documentation (both sides of your tribal enrollment card, CIB, or an official verification letter from your tribe with your enrollment number) to your Admission Portal.
OR
  b. Complete the Affirmation of Descendancy form and include your parent's tribal enrollment documentation.
iii. Graduate students submit their NATW documentation through the Graduate Studies application process.
