The Western Illinois University International Undergraduate Commitment Scholarship is awarded to newly admitted undergraduate, non-sponsored international students enrolling to WIU for the first time.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must;
i. Have a minimum high school 3.0 GPA
ii. Admitted into a degree program at WIU.
iii. Maintain full-time enrollment (minimum 12 hours, even if an immigration exemption has been awarded for the final semester).
Value of Scholarship:
The Western Illinois International Commitment Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. $6,000 per year: 4.0+ GPA confirmed by WIU
ii. $4,000 per year: 3.5-3.99 GPA confirmed by WIU
iii. $2,000 per year: 3.0-3.49 GPA confirmed by WIU
50% will be awarded fall semester and 50% will be awarded spring semester. This scholarship is available for up to four years provided a cumulative GPA of 3.0 is maintained OR until student receives a degree, whichever comes first.
