Scholarship Summary:
In recognition of the outstanding talent of its Chinese students, Cardiff University is awarding the highly prestigious Red Dragon Scholarship to outstanding students from Mainland China enrolling on a postgraduate taught programme.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for the Red Dragon Scholarship, you must:
i. be domiciled in Mainland China
ii. be classed an international fee-paying student
iii. be holding an offer for a full-time campus-based postgraduate taught masters programme at Cardiff University commencing in September 2025 at the point of submitting a scholarship application
iv. have accepted their academic course offer by the deadline of the scholarship round in which they are applying
v. meet all the offer conditions (if applicable), including any English Language conditions, as stated in their offer letter, by Monday 22 September 2025.
Value of Scholarship:
The Cardiff Red Dragon Scholarship is valued as a £3,000 one-time award.
Scholarship Application Guide:
To apply for the Red Dragon Scholarship,
i. You must submit a completed application form by the above deadlines.
ii. The online application form is straightforward and should take a maximum of 10 minutes.
Required information includes:
- Cardiff University application number
- current or most recent institution of study
- current or most recent average CGPA and percentile mark
iii. A panel of senior staff will assess each application. Students will be notified of the outcome on the below dates, dependant on the scholarship round in which they have applied.
- Round 2: 4 June 2025
- Round 3: 13 August 2025
