Alfred University offers a wide variety of academic scholarships to acknowledge the special abilities of new first year (domestic and international) students who can demonstrate excellent academic potential.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
There are no set criteria but the Office of Admissions will award scholarships based on a holistic review process including consideration of a student's cumulative GPA, rigor of curriculum and board score (if submitted). A student's strength in high school/college courses, high school quality, leadership and service and participation in extracurricular activities is also taken into consideration.
Value of Scholarship:
Every accepted student will receive a part-tuition scholarship, which could reach up to $33,000 annually. Students will receive notification with their offer of admission.
Due to Alfred’s unique tuition structure, scholarship and award amounts vary depending on the program.
Scholarship Application Guide:
A student must complete the entire to be eligible for scholarships. Most undergraduate scholarships are renewable annually at AU.
There is no separate application process to be considered for a scholarship.
