Scholarship Summary: 
NMSU is awarding Out-of-State Tuition discounts to all eligible domestic freshman students who are New Mexico non-residents.

Value of Scholarship: 
The NMSU Out-of-State Tuition Discounts are valued as follows;
i. Out-of-State Tuition Competitive Discount: $18,326 per academic year toward reducing non-resident tuition {3.5 GPA and 23 ACT or 3.0 GPA and 26 ACT or 3.5 cumulative college GPA, US Citizen or Permanent Resident}

ii. Descubre Out-of-State Tuition Discount: $14,962 per academic year {Mexican citizenship}

iii. 135 Mile Out-of-State Tuition Discount: $17,653 per academic year {Texan resident, within 135 miles of the NMSU Las Cruces campus. US Citizen or Permanent Resident}

iv. Western Undergraduate Out-of-State Tuition Discount: $14,962 per academic year {Residents from participating states (AK, AZ, CA, CO, HI, ID, MT, ND, NV, OR, SD, UT, WA, WY, Guam and the US Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands). US Citizen or Permanent Resident}

v. Colorado/Arizona Out-of-State Tuition Discount: $18,326 per academic year {Colorado and Arizona residents. US Citizen or Permanent Resident}

vi. New Mexico Tribal Member Out-of-State Tuition Discount: $18,326 per academic year toward reducing non-resident tuition {Tribal-enrolled members of the 24 American Indian Nations, Pueblos or Tribes, located wholly or partially in NM who are out-of-state residents}

The Out-of-State Tuition Discounts listed above may be awarded in addition to an Out-of-State Scholarship (a student can qualify for only one scholarship and one tuition discount).

Scholarship Application Guide: 
There is no separate scholarship application; simply apply and be admitted to NMSU with required transcripts and ACT/SAT scores on file.
