NYU Wagner Named Fellowship programs are designed to identify and reward the most outstanding students (domestic and international). Fellowship recipients are expected to exemplify the values of the illustrious individuals for whom the fellowships are named, as well as the values of the NYU Wagner community.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
There are no set criteria for consideration but students with a strong academic record, noteworthy professional experience and aspirations, and a proven commitment to public service with a focus on a relevant issue area are highly sought.

The NYU Wagner Named Fellowship programs typically award half or full tuition scholarship and a stipend for a summer internship.

Step 1: Complete an to NYU Wagner.
- Only fully completed, applications will be reviewed for fellowship consideration. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Applicants will be notified in early February if they have been selected for fellowship consideration. If you do not receive an invitation to interview by early February, you have not been selected to move forward.
Step 2: Semi-Finalist Interviews
- Selected applicants will participate in semi-finalist interviews in mid-February via Zoom with a member of the NYU Wagner staff.
Step 3: Finalist Selection
- Interviewed semi-finalists will be notified within 24 hours of the release of their NYU Wagner admission decision whether they have been selected to move forward to the finalist round. Interviewed semi-finalists who are not selected to advance will also be notified within 24 hours of their admission decision.
Step 4: Finalist Interviews and Decisions
- Finalist interviews with the fellowship committee will take place via Zoom in late March. All finalists will receive a decision within two weeks of their interview.
