Scholarship Summary:
In partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, the University of Derby is offering 5 GREAT scholarships to students in China, Ghana, India, Nigeria and Thailand applying for postgraduate courses.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
In order to be eligible to receive a GREAT Scholarship, you must:
1. Be passport holders of China, Ghana, India, Nigeria and Thailand.
2. Be applying for postgraduate study at the University of Derby.
- India (Big Data Analytics MSc, Cyber Security MSc and Information Technology MSc only)
Value of Scholarship:
The University of Derby GREAT Scholarship is valued as a one-time payment of £11,000.
Scholarship Application Guide:
To apply;
i. Complete an application for postgraduate study at Derby.
ii. Applications for the British Council GREAT scholarship should be made after you have received an offer, using this form.
- As part of your application you will need to include an essay of no more than 500 words about a topic you have studied previously and why you found it interesting. This topic should be related to or have inspired you to apply for your chosen degree programme. This essay will be part of the short-listing criteria, alongside previous academic achievement, and the potential you show.
iii. Shortlisted applicants may be asked to attend a video interview with the selection committee.
iv. If you are awarded a GREAT scholarship, you are not eligible to receive any other scholarships or discounts from the University of Derby
