Scholarship Summary:
The University of Maine at Farmington awards a limited number of merit-based scholarships to outstanding new, incoming first-year undergraduate international students. The scholarship is renewable for up to a total of four years (eight semesters) of study at the University of Maine at Farmington, provided renewal requirements (including maintaining F-1 Visa status and residency on campus) are met. International students are responsible for covering additional expenses and fees using their own resources.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
Criteria used in awarding the scholarship include, but are not limited to;
i. Academic interests and ability,
ii. Special talents (excluding athletic ability),
iii. Geographic origin and ethnicity
Value of Scholarship:
The UMF International Student Scholarship is valued at a total of $36,000 over four years (eight semesters) and awarded each year in the amount of $9,000 per year ($4,500 per semester).
