Scholarship Summary:
The Barbara Hirschi Neely Scholarship, Lewis & Clark’s highest merit award, recognizes incoming domestic first-year students of exceptional academic achievement and distinctive personal accomplishment from Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington, including the greater Portland Metro area.
Up to five scholarships are awarded to entering first-year students and are renewable annually, provided the student maintains satisfactory academic progress.

To be eligible for the Neely Scholarship, applicants must;
i. Be incoming first-year students of exceptional academic achievement from Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington, including the greater Portland Metro area
ii. Demonstrate excellent academic accomplishments, leadership qualities and community impact
Value of Scholarship:
The Neely Scholarship provides full tuition for each recipient, valued at more than $200,000 over four years.

- In addition to the scholarship, each Neely scholar is granted a $2,000 stipend that may be used after the fourth semester at Lewis & Clark on projects approved by the scholar’s faculty advisor and the director of academic awards and grants.

i. Complete an application for admission to Lewis & Clark.
ii. Selected applicants will be invited to participate in an on-campus program and an interview.
