Scholarship Summary:
Huron University awards up to ten International Presidential Scholarships to exceptional entering international students who meet certain criteria.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
• Demonstrate academic excellence with a mid-year average of 90% or higher on Huron’s grading scale.
• Have an exceptional record of extra-curricular and community involvement, as well as a demonstrated passion to positively contribute to global society.
Value of Scholarship:
The Huron International Presidential Scholarship is valued at 50% of tuition cost, renewable for all four years of your studies at Huron (a total value of CAD$92,000 to CAD$116,000 over four years depending on your program) and subject to renewal terms and conditions.
Scholarship Application Guide:
To apply;
i. Step 1 - Application
Submit an application to a Huron program for September entry before Feb 1, 2023
ii. Step 2 – Complete the International Presidential Scholarship Application
Log in to your Huron Connect Portal, click on the “Scholarships” section and complete the International Presidential Scholarship Application Form before February 1, 2024.
iii. Step 3 – Nomination
During the online application process, you will also be able to submit the email address of the nominee who is nominating you for the scholarship. Your nominee will then receive an email from Huron with instructions to submit their nomination and letter of recommendation (LOR). This must be received by Huron before February 1, 2024.
iv. Step 4 - Interview
Short-listed candidates will be invited to take part in a video interview, as part of the Scholarship application assessment. You will receive an email with further details on this process, if you are short-listed.
v. Step 5 - Awarding of Scholarship
Recipients of the International Presidential Scholarship will be notified in March 2024.
