2024 Application Guide for Knox College Freshmen Merit Scholarships

Applications for this scholarship will end on the 15th of January, 2024.

Scholarship Summary: 
Domestic and international freshmen will be considered for scholarships at Knox College based on the information provided in the application for admission and through an admission interview. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic achievements, plus an applicant’s KnoX-Factor, which includes talents, interests, and personal qualities.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Obtain a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
ii. Get a minimum ACT score of 23 or SAT of 1140

Value of Scholarship: 
The Knox Freshman Academic Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. $0 -  $20,000 {Required: 3.0 GPA and 23 ACT/114O SAT}
ii. $15,000 -  $25,000 {Required: 3.3G PA and 24 ACT/118O SAT}
iii. $20,000 -  $30,000 {Required: 3.5 GPA and 26 ACT/126O SAT}
iv. $22,000 -  $32,000 {Required: 3.7 GPA and 29 ACT/136O SAT}
v. $24,000 -  $35,000 {Required: 3.9 GPA and 31 ACT/143O SAT}

All scholarships are renewable annually for up to four years of undergraduate study, as long as recipients remain in good academic standing.

In addition to scholarships, all incoming students automatically receive a Power of Experience grant, which provides you with up to $2,000 to support a qualifying experiential learning opportunity during your junior or senior year.
