Scholarship Summary:
Colorado College offers a limited number of merit scholarships to academically accomplished applicants (domestic and international) who encompass a wide variety of interests, talents and backgrounds. Merit-based scholarships are selected by the strength of the student’s academic work, including school performance, course rigor, standardized test scores, essay quality, and teacher recommendations. Due to the limited number of scholarships and a highly competitive pool of students, only 10% of applicants are awarded these scholarships.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
There are no set criteria for consideration but past recipients represented the top 30% of the applicant pool.
Value of Scholarship:
Colorado College offers four-year scholarships to incoming freshman at three different levels:
i. Leadership Scholarship - $40,000 total ($5,000 per semester)
ii. Trustee Scholarship - $28,000 total ($3,500 per semester)
iii. Presidential Scholarship - $20,000 total ($2,500 per semester)
Scholarship Application Guide:
Students are reviewed by the Office of Admission as a pool based on their application package, and because the pool of applicants changes from year to year, Colorado College is unable to provide specific markers (ACT or SAT scores, GPA’s, etc) to indicate your likelihood of receiving a merit scholarship. Students who have been awarded a merit scholarship will receive news of this upon acceptance to the college.
