Scholarship Summary:
Oglethorpe University wants to change the perception that a private education is out of reach and want to award eligible incoming domestic freshmen with the Flagship 50 scholarship which will ensure that every recipient pays only the in-state tuition of the flagship (oldest public) institution in their state.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must;
i. Never attended as a college degree-seeking student
AND
ii. Earn a cumulative high school GPA of 3.8
OR
ii. Obtain an SAT score of 1400 or superscore of 30 on the ACT test
Value of Scholarship:
Recipients of the Flagship 50 scholarship will be charged the tuition of the flagship institution of their state of residency and awards are based on the current tuition and fees of each state’s flagship institution.

NOTES:
1. Recipients must remain enrolled full-time at Oglethorpe and in good academic and conduct standing.
2. All Flagship 50 recipients will be required to live on-campus in Oglethorpe University housing for three years
