The Exeter Excellence Scholarships recognise outstanding academic achievement, offering funding to help cover the costs of studying at the University of Exeter.

You can apply for one of these scholarships if you:
Value of Scholarship:
i. have International fee status (including any EU applicants required to pay International fees in 2026/27)
ii. already hold an offer (conditional or unconditional) to study an eligible Postgraduate taught degree at the University of Exeter, beginning in September 2026.
Scholarship recipients are selected on:
a) Academic merit, based on the information you have supplied in your programme application.
- Applicants will be expected to demonstrate that they have achieved or are able to achieve the equivalent of UK upper second class degree.
b) The ability to demonstrate the following as part of the application process: academic ambition; future career ambitions; a genuine need for the scholarship and how this will support your ambitions; a sense of social responsibility and willingness to engage with the Exeter community.
Value of Scholarship:
The Exeter Global Excellence Scholarship is valued as £3,000, £5,000 or £10,000, tenable for 1 year.
These scholarships are awarded as a reduction in the first-year International tuition fee. They are not recurrent for subsequent years of study.

A personal statement (of no more than 300 words) is required as part of the form, responding to the following questions:
1. What are your ambitions for the future and how will your studies at Exeter help you to achieve them?
2. What will you contribute to the study experience/environment on campus at Exeter?
3. As a scholar, how might you act as an ambassador for the University?
Offer holders who apply for a scholarship by the deadline, will be notified by email of the outcome of their scholarship application by 12 February 2026.
