Scholarship Summary:
The Omaha World Herald/Kearney Hub Scholarship is the UNK most prestigious scholarship and invitations are extended only to the most exceptional applicants (US citizens and residents only).
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Be US citizens or residents
ii. Obtain a sixth semester high school GPA of 3.85 or above
iii. Score a 30+ on the ACT test
Value of Scholarship:
The Omaha World Herald/Kearney Hub Scholarship covers the tuition cost, books, room, board, and university fees for four years (eight semesters). Other scholarships may be awarded in addition to students who participate in interviews.

There are also multiple awards up to $2000 cash; and/or full or half room waivers for applicants not awarded the Omaha World Scholarship.

ii. Complete the Honors Program Scholarship application form by January 7.
- All applicants who apply by January 7 and fill out the scholarship portion of the application are considered for the top scholarship and other awards.
iii. The top 40 group of applicants will be invited to compete for the Omaha World Herald Scholarship on January 18, 2024.
