Scholarship Summary:
The Queen’s University merit-based Excellence Award is exclusive to International Students who will commence a full-time and full duration undergraduate programme at the Queen’s University Belfast campus in September 2026.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
Eligibility criteria for this scholarship include;
i. International Students who commenced a full-time and full duration undergraduate programme at the Queen’s University Belfast campus.
ii. For September 2026 - eligible students must achieve a 60% GPA in the academic year
iii. Students must be classified as international fee-paying students paying the full international tuition fee rate in order to be considered for this discount. Students paying NI or GB fees are not eligible for the Queen’s Excellence Award.
iv. Students must be self-funded.
v. The following programmes are excluded from eligibility for the Queen’s Excellence Award:
- Undergraduate: Medicine, Dentistry, Agricultural Technology, Theology, LLB Senior Status
- ALL Distance Learning programmes, foundation degree programmes and non-standard fee courses, including part-time programmes.
Value of Scholarship:
Eligible students who achieve a 60% GPA in the academic year 2026 will be awarded a merit-based award of £3000 in the subsequent academic year (unless on placement, whereby the award will be made the following year).
Students who maintain a minimum GPA of 60% at the end of the academic year and meet the eligibility criteria as set out in the terms & conditions, you will automatically be awarded a Queen’s Excellence Award following enrolment in the next year of your undergraduate programme.
