If you are a domestic student and apply for admission to TAMUT, you are automatically considered for available merit scholarships. Please note that these funds are limited - even though a student might meet the scholarship criteria, they may not receive the scholarship as these scholarships are competitive.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
The minimum criteria for the TAMUT Admission Scholarships are as follows:
• Must be a 2026 High School Graduate
• Meet the required minimum cumulative high school GPA of 2.75
• Must enroll in a minimum of 12 hours during first semester of award at TAMUT.
Value of Scholarship:
The TAMUT Admissions Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. Legacy: $2,000/year (2.75 cumulative high school GPA, must enroll in a minimum of 12 hours each semester at A&M-Texarkana)
ii. Eagle Elite: $3,000/year (3.0-3.49 cumulative high school GPA)
iii. Soaring Eagle: $6,000/year (min. 3.5 cumulative high school GPA or 23 ACT/1100 SAT)
iv. Valedictorian/Salutatorian: $7,000/year (Must be ranked #1 or #2 in high school class)
v. Presidential: $8,000/year (3.75 cumulative high school GPA or 28 ACT (1300 or higher SAT score))
Renewal Requirements are:
• Must maintain a cumulative 3.0 Undergraduate GPA
• Must enroll in 15 hours each semester at A&M-Texarkana
• Must successfully complete 30 hours per academic year (fall/spring/summer)

i. Complete the into TAMUT and be accepted for admission by the scholarship priority deadline.
- Select ‘yes’ when asked, ‘Would you like TAMUT to consider you for all TAMUT scholarships?’ on the admission application.
ii. Students will be contacted via Ace Mail if a scholarship offer is made.
