Austin Peay State University offers a variety of academic scholarships to incoming domestic freshmen based on the information on their admissions application.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for an APSU Resident Academic Scholarship, you must;
• Be a US citizen or permanent resident
• Obtain a minimum 3.0 high school GPA
Value of Scholarship:
The APSU Academic Scholarship are valued as follows;
i. Presidential: $6,000 (Required: 4.0 GPA)
ii. Dean’s: $3,500 (Required: 3.85-3.99 GPA)
iii. Academic Achievement: $2,000 (Required: 3.7-3.84 GPA)
iv. Governor’s Merit: $1,500 (Required: 3.5-3.69 GPA)
v. Governor’s Excellence: $1,000 (Required: 3.0-3.49 GPA)
vi. Kimbrough (Limited Awards Available): $1,000 (Required: 3.0 GPA & 25 ACT, In-State Resident)
vii. Howell C. Smith (Limited Awards Available): Award Amount Varies (High-achieving students)
Note: Austin Peay has drastically reduced the cost of out-of-state tuition for out-of-state students by nearly 50 percent.
