Scholarship Summary:
The Scott Scholars in the Heider College of Business Program is the premier scholarship offered through the generosity of the Suzanne & Walter Scott Foundation. The Program includes a merit scholarship and elite opportunities for future business leaders (US citizens and residents only) seeking to transform the future of business in Omaha and the community.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
Interested students are encouraged to apply for this opportunity if they meet the following criteria:
i. Be a first-time US University student or immediate high school graduate
ii. Minimum 3.8 GPA on a 4.0 scale in a college prep curriculum at time of admission
iii. Minimum 28 ACT or 1300 SAT (Math + Critical Reading)
iv. Be admitted for a full-time undergraduate course at the Heider College of Business and intend to work in the business field.
v. Driven, high-achieving students committed to academic excellence
vi. Leadership-focused, with demonstrated leadership experience and a desire to grow leadership skills
vii. Business acumen, developed through business-oriented coursework, activities or work experience and a desire to launch a career in business
Value of Scholarship:
Selected candidates will receive:
i. Full-tuition scholarship, room and board, and co-curricular programming for four consecutive years.
ii. Personalized mentorship through Omaha Connect, pairing each scholar with an accomplished Omaha business leader to expand their local professional network, gain career guidance, and deepen their connection to the city.
iii. A close-knit cohort of high-achieving students who encourage, challenge, and support one another.
iv. Direct engagement with Omaha's business, nonprofit, and civic communities through company visits, networking events, and leadership experiences.
v. Funding for approved enrichment opportunities, including study abroad, conferences, research, and other transformative educational experiences.
Renewal requires maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.30.
Scholarship Application Guide:
To apply;
i. Submit your Application for Undergraduate Admission and all required credentials by the stated deadline; and the Additional Scholarship Application with all additional required materials to the Admissions Office by the above deadline at 11:59 PM (in your local timezone).
- The Additional Scholarship Applications will be available in the for eligible students.
This scholarship will replace any previously awarded merit scholarship from Creighton.
