Scholarship Summary: 
SUNY Oswego is awarding merit scholarships to incoming first-year students (domestic and international) who have demonstrated outstanding academic excellence with a strong record of classroom achievement in a challenging college preparatory curriculum. 

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
There are no set criteria for scholarship consideration but scholarships are competitively awarded to the top 35-40% of students in the entering class.

Value of Scholarship: 
The Oswego First-Year Scholarships are valued as follows;
Academic Merit Scholarships
i. Presidential: $6,770/year ($27,080 for 4 years)
ii. Dean: $2,000/year ($8,000 for 4 years)

Other Scholarships
iii. Go Oswego Awards: provide accepted full-time out-of-state students with $1,500 per semester — renewable for up to 8 semesters (6 semesters for transfers with 24+ college credits) or graduation — whichever occurs first. Must be a U.S. resident {stackable with academic merit scholarships}.
iv. Go Oswego International Awards: provide full-time international students with $2,000 per semester — renewable for up to 8 semesters (6 semesters for transfers with 24+ college credits) or graduation — whichever occurs first {stackable with academic merit scholarships}.

The above scholarships are renewable for four years by maintaining a minimum 3.00 GPA.

Scholarship Application Guide: 
There is no separate application required; simply complete an application for admission into Oswego to be considered.
