Scholarship Summary: 
Florida Southern College awards its Prestige Scholarships to its most promising freshmen students (domestic and international), who exhibit exemplary academic and leadership skills and represent the top 10 percent of all first-year applicants to Florida Southern.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Have obtained a 3.5 GPA 
ii. Have attained a 29 on the ACT or 1330 on the SAT (For the George W. Jenkins Scholarship, students should attain a 26 on the ACT or 1240 on the SAT)

Value of Scholarship:
The FSC Prestige Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. Hollingsworth (Full-Ride) Scholarship: Full tuition and fees, room and board, books, and funds for travel
ii. McClurg Scholarship: Full tuition and fees
iii. Dr. Marcene Christoverson Scholarship: Amount varies
iv. George W. Jenkins (Full-Ride) Scholarship: Full tuition and fees, room, meals, books, and supplies for two semesters annually — up to four consecutive years — along with a $4,100 annual stipend for personal expenses and a laptop computer {Only for residents of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, or Virginia with demonstrated financial need}.

Scholarship Application Guide: 
To apply;
1. Apply for admission and get accepted. You will receive your acceptance letter approximately two weeks after your application is complete. After that, the steps to applying for a scholarship are easy!

2. Qualified students will be invited to apply by the Scholarship Committee. When you complete the Premier/Prestige Scholarship application, you will be considered for the Hollingsworth, McClurg, and Christoverson scholarships. Completed applications which include an essay, are due no later than January 3.

3. If you wish to apply for the Jenkins Scholarship, submit your completed application, FAFSA, records of community involvement, and two letters of recommendation. These materials must be received no later than January 31. 

4. Schedule an interview. Finalists will be notified shortly after the closing date and will be invited to schedule an interview with the scholarship selection committee. 

5. Apply to the Honors Program. A separate application is required for admission into FSC’s Honors Program. The application includes an essay as well as a résumé detailing your experiences. Applications are due March 1. 

5. Receive notification of your award. Scholarship recipients will be notified in early April.
