Scholarship Summary:
ULM is delighted to award the Freshman Academic Scholarship to top-performing domestic freshmen students from Louisiana entering in fall.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must;
i. Have a minimum high school GPA of 3.00
ii. Obtain a minimum ACT score of 20
Value of Scholarship:
The ULM Freshman Academic Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. President’s Distinguished Scholarship: up to $16,588 {ACT 30 – 36}
ii. Academic Excellence Scholarship: up to $13,088 {ACT 27 – 29}
iii. Academic Merit Scholarship: up to $9,688 {ACT 23 – 26}
iv. Ace’s Award: up to $7,288 {ACT 20 – 22}
Note:
i. Students with a 30-32 will be awarded a laptop, and students with a 33-36 will be awarded a laptop and a study abroad stipend (up to $4,500) sponsored by the President’s Top Hawks Fund.
ii. The above awards include the TOPS and Housing Award (Students must live on campus to be eligible for the housing award).
Scholarship Application Guide:
There is no separate scholarship application; students that apply and send all official test scores by July 15th, are automatically considered for academic scholarships. Academic scholarships are awarded for eight semesters or until graduation (Bachelor’s), whichever comes first, and provided all specified retention criteria are met.
