Scholarship Summary:
All qualified incoming first-year domestic students are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships when they submit an admission application to USM.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must;
i. Obtain a minimum cumulative 2.75 high school GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
Value of Scholarship:
The USM Freshman Academic Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. USM Scholar Award: $1,000 - $7,000 annually {2.75 - 2.99 GPA on a 4.0 scale}
ii. Dirigo Scholar Award: $2,000 - $11,000 annually {3.0 - 3.49 GPA on a 4.0 scale}
iii. President’s Scholar Award: $4,000 - $11,000 annually {3.5+ GPA on a 4.0 scale}
iv. Mountains to the Sea Scholarship: $2,000 - $4,000 annually {Residents of New Hampshire or Vermont}
Scholarship Application Guide:
To apply;
i. Complete your admissions application and you will automatically be reviewed for eligibility when the Admissions Committee makes a decision on your application.
ii. For the Mountains to the Sea Scholarship, eligible applicants are to fill a FAFSA, along with an admission application.
