Gordon awards merit-based scholarships to incoming freshman (domestic and international) based on academic achievement and excellence. These can be renewed annually, as long as you consistently meet grade point average (GPA) requirements.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, you must meet the following criteria;
For Domestic Students
i. Obtain a minimum GPA of 2.9.0
For International Students
i. Obtain a minimum GPA of 3.0 and 960 SAT/20 ACT
Value of Scholarship:
The Gordon Freshmen Merit Scholarships are valued as follows;
For Domestic students
i. Trustee's Scholar Award: $22,000 per year (Weighted GPA: 4.0 & above)
ii. President’s Scholar Award: $20,000 per year (Weighted GPA: 3.75-3.99)
iii. Provost’s Scholar Award: $18,000 per year (Weighted GPA: 3.25-3.749)
iv. Dean’s Scholar Award: $16,000 per year (Weighted GPA: 2.95-3.24)
v. Thrive Scholar Award: $13,000 per year (Weighted GPA: 2.94 & below)
For International students
i. International Trustees' Scholar Award: $20,000 per year (GPA: 4.0 or GPA + Tests: 3.7–4.0 GPA + 1170–1600 SAT / 26–36 ACT)
ii. International President’s Scholar Award: $18,000 per year (GPA: 3.3–3.9 or GPA + Tests: 3.2–3.69 GPA + 980–1160 SAT / 21–25 ACT)
iii. International Provost Scholar Award: $16,000 per year (GPA: 3.29 and below or GPA + Tests: <3.20 GPA + <980 SAT / <21 ACT)
