Western Kentucky University is offering the prestigious Cherry Presidential Scholarship to exceptional first-time domestic freshmen students based on their high school GPA and ACT/SAT score.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Be US citizens or residents
ii. Obtain a minimum high school GPA of 3.8 (unweighted)
iii. Have a minimum ACT score of 30 (1360 SAT)
Value of Scholarship:
The Cherry Presidential Scholarship is valued as follows;
i. Recipients of the Cherry Presidential Scholarship: will receive an annual award up to $16,000 ($64,000 over a four year period).
Scholarship Application Guide:
To be considered for the Cherry Presidential Scholarship,
i. Students must have a on file by the above deadline.
A complete application package includes the following:
• Applied AND admitted to WKU
• Official high school transcript
• ACT or SAT scores
ii. All eligible candidates will be invited to attend a Cherry Presidential Interview Day. Selected applicants will be informed of the Interview date
- Candidates will participate in interviews, complete a writing prompt, and optional campus tours as part of the Cherry Presidential Interview Day.
iii. Winners of the Cherry Presidential Scholarship will be notified no later than January 30th.
