Applications for this scholarship will end on

1st of February, 2027 (but scholarships will continue to be awarded on a rolling basis after the priority deadline if funds remain available).

 

Scholarship Summary: 

All incoming domestic freshman who apply for admission into Northern Illinois University will automatically be considered for one of the following merit scholarships. 

Scholarship Applicant Criteria:

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;

i. Obtain a minimum average high school GPA of 3.0

Value of Scholarship: 

The NIU Merit Scholarships range from $1,000 - $8,000 annually.

Scholarship Application Guide: 

Your application for admission plus all required documents (transcript, test score, application fee or waiver) must be received by the priority deadline to be considered for a merit scholarship.
