Scholarship Summary:
MacEwan University is awarding Automated Entrance Scholarships to international degree students who will be undertaking an undergraduate degree at the University and meet the specified scholarship requirements.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
Students who meet the following criteria will automatically be considered for the award:
a. International student (on a valid study permit)
b. With an admission average within one of the scholarship tiers
c. Admitted to a degree or diploma program in the Fall term
Value of Scholarship:
MacEwan's (non-renewable) Automated Entrance Scholarships for international degree students are assigned in the following tiers:
a. 95-100% or AGPA* higher than 3.99 - Chancellor's Scholarship: CAD$10,000-CAD$14,000
b. 90-94.99% or AGPA of 3.90-3.99 - President’s Scholarship: CAD$8,000-CAD$2,000
c. 85-89.99% or AGPA of 3.70-3.89 - Provost’s Scholarship: CAD$6,000-CAD$10,000
d. 80-84.99% or AGPA of 3.50-3.69 - Dean’s Scholarship: CAD$4,000-CAD$8,000

International students are automatically assessed for eligibility upon admission, there is no separate application process.

- The number and value of scholarships will vary based on available funds and eligible students. The scholarship will be disbursed in two equal amounts across two terms (Fall and Winter). To receive the second disbursement of the scholarship in the Winter term, students must have maintained a minimum GPA of 2.0 in the Fall term and maintain 12 credits in each of the Fall and Winter terms.
- Continuing scholarships are available for international students in the Chancellor’s, President’s, and Provost’s tiers.
International students are automatically assessed for eligibility upon admission, there is no separate application process.
