Scholarship Summary: 
Canadian students entering a MacEwan degree program directly from high school (including dual credit initiatives) in the Fall term may be eligible for an Automated entrance scholarship based on the program they have selected and their admission average.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
Students who meet the following criteria will automatically be considered for the award:
a. Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Protected Person
b. With an admission average within one of the scholarship tiers
c. Entering a degree program directly from high school in the Fall term

Value of Scholarship: 
MacEwan's Automated Entrance Scholarships for domestic students are assigned in the following tiers:
a. 95-100% - Chancellor's Scholarship - CAD$5,000
b. 90-94.99% - President’s Scholarship - CAD$3,000
c. 85-89.99% - Provost’s Scholarship - CAD$2,000
d. 80-84.99% - Dean’s Scholarship - CAD$1,000

The scholarship will be disbursed in two equal amounts across two terms (Fall and Winter). To receive the second disbursement of the scholarship in the Winter term, students must have maintained a minimum GPA of 2.0 in the Fall term.

The Chancellor’s Scholarship will be automatically renewed, provided that you remain in a MacEwan University degree program and maintain the required GPA and course load in years 2-4. Additional criteria apply.

Scholarship Application Guide: 
1. Entrance scholarships are based on the program you have selected and your admission average.
2. In the Faculty of Nursing, all students who meet the requirements for the Chancellor’s Scholarship receive the offer at time of admission. Other students are considered for the President’s and Provost’s Scholarships after the start of the program. These scholarships are offered based on the next highest averages up to a combined total of 30 across all three tiers for students in this faculty.
3. In the Faculty of Fine Arts and Communications, students may also be selected based on their outstanding audition and/or portfolio. The additional criteria listed above still apply.
