Oglethorpe University is pleased to offer up to ten full tuition scholarships to the top performing domestic freshmen who attend the Oglethorpe Scholarship Weekend.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
Students must be nominated by the Office of Admission to compete in Scholarship Weekend. Nominations are determined by a holistic review of a student’s application, including their academic credentials, co-curricular activities, leadership experience, personal essay, and recommendations.
Students are notified of the competitions for which they have been nominated in their admission Petrel Package and by email. The final deadline to RSVP for each competition is two weeks before the event date.
Value of Scholarship:
This Oglethorpe full-tuition scholarships are as follows;
i. James Edward Oglethorpe: Full tuition award + stipend for a junior-year study abroad experience.
ii. Oglethorpe Theatre: Full tuition award + internship with a professional theatre company.
iii. Hammack Business: Full tuition award + stipend for study abroad or internship experience.
iv. J. Fred and Catherine B. Agel Leadership Scholarship: Full tuition award
