Scholarship Summary: 
Capital’s Merit Scholarship is a stackable award for incoming freshmen (domestic and international) and is added to the Main Street Scholarship. The Capital Merit Scholarship is based on your GPA and rewards your hard work in high school. It's our way of recognizing your achievements and helping you focus on what matters most: your education and future success

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must; 
i. Obtain a minimum high school GPA of 3.0

Value of Scholarship: 
The Capital Merit Scholarship is valued as follows;
i. 1830 Award: $2,000/yr (3.0-3.19 GPA)
ii. Dean's Award: $4,000/yr (3.2-3.49 GPA)
iii. Trustees' Award: $6,000/yr (3.5-3.79 GPA)
iv. Provost's Award: $7,000/yr (3.8-3.99 GPA)
v. President's Award: $8,000/yr (4.0 and above GPA)

The above awards are stackable with the Main Street Scholarship and are renewable for students maintaining Satisfactory Academic Progress with a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average and any other award specific requirements detailed below.
