Scholarship Summary:
The Illinois College #YouAreWelcomeHere scholarship recognizes international freshmen students who have a vision for enhancing intercultural understanding and have demonstrated leadership abilities through prior high school and community experiences.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for this scholarship;
i. Be a first-year international applicant. An international applicant is an individual who holds citizenship in a country outside the United States and who does not also possess US citizenship or permanent residency.
ii. Demonstrate interest and personal initiative in activities involving intercultural learning and exchange.
iii. Demonstrate leadership qualities.
Value of Scholarship:
The Illinois College #YouAreWelcomeHere scholarship is valued as $2,000 to $5,000 annually and will be combined with the International Student Awards. The total Illinois College awards will thus cover at least 50% of your annual tuition.

i. Apply for admission into Illinois College
ii. Submit the one-page #YouAreWelcomeHere application and a personal statement.
iii. If awarded a scholarship, claim it by submitting a tuition deposit by May 1.
