Scholarship Summary: 
The Nebraska Career Scholarship at UNO is a highly competitive award offered to high-performing Nebraska freshmen who are graduating seniors of Nebraska high schools or transfer students and are pursuing programs of study leading to careers in high-demand fields related to mathematics, engineering, healthcare, and computer information systems.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
Eligibility Criteria include, 
(1) Nebraska residents, 
(2) graduating seniors of Nebraska high schools or transfer students, and 
(3) students pursuing programs of study leading to careers in high-demand fields related to mathematics, engineering, healthcare, and computer information systems.

Current eligible programs at UNO include Behavioral Health, Biology, Biomechanics, Bioinformatics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Emergency Management, Gerontology, IT Innovation, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Medical Humanities, Molecular and Biomedical Biology, Neuroscience, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Physics, Public Health, Psychology, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Pre-Agricultural Engineering, Pre-Biological Systems Engineering and Pre-Mechanical Engineering.

Value of Scholarship: 
The UNO Nebraska Career Scholarship is valued at up to $13,000 per year (limited number available).

The award is renewable for up to three additional years, or until 120 credit hours attempted (not including hours earned through dual enrollment or AP classes), or bachelor's degree earned.

Scholarship Application Guide: 
To apply, submit the following;
i. An Application for Admission by February 1st,
ii. ACT/SAT scores through the February test date during senior year, and 
iii. A FAFSA form
