Scholarship Summary:
The Chancellor's University of Tasmania Merit Scholarships are the University’s premier academic scholarships awarded to high achieving students (Tasmanian and Australian) who have demonstrated outstanding academic excellence in Years 11 and 12.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for the Scholarship, an applicant must meet the following criteria:
i. Available to full-time students commencing study in any academic area who will be receiving a tertiary entrance score in 2023 or received a tertiary entrance score in 2022.
ii. Selection for this scholarship will be based on outstanding achievement in studies in Years 11 and 12 and a high tertiary entrance score, or equivalent International Baccalaureate.
iii. International students who have completed Years 11 and 12 at a school in Tasmania or in another Australian state may also apply for these awards.
iv. For Tasmanian students, scholarships will be evenly distributed among the different regions of Tasmania, with a limited number available for the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree.
Value of Scholarship:
The Chancellor's University of Tasmania Merit Scholarships is valued as AUD$10,000/year and is renewable for up to five years (does not include separate one-year Honours course).
