Scholarship Summary:
The University of Ottawa International English Scholarships are offered to international students who are citizens of an eligible country, who are admitted in Fall term or later to an eligible undergraduate program offered in English.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be considered for scholarship, applicants must;
• be an international student with a valid study permit.
• be newly admitted for the Winter 2026 term or later in an approved English-language undergraduate program in one of the following faculties: Arts, Engineering, Health Sciences, Science, Social Sciences or
• Have a minimum admission average of 80% for English Admission Scholarships and 90% for English Excellence Scholarship.
• Not enrol in the French immersion stream.
• be enrolled full time
Value of Scholarship:
The UOttawa International English Scholarships are valued as follows;
1. International English Admission Scholarship: CAD$15,000 per year (CAD$7,500 per term)
2. International English Academic Excellence Scholarship: CAD$10,000 (CAD$5,000 per term, non-renewable)
Tuition fees are immediately reduced by the amount of the scholarship.
