Scholarship Summary:
The Nottingham Regional Excellence awards support high-achieving international scholars from around the world who can put their Nottingham degree to great use in their careers. Each award covers a contribution towards tuition fees for an undergraduate degree programme at Nottingham.
You should apply for the regional excellence award for your country of domicile rather than your nationality – unless you are studying in the UK, in which case you should apply for the UK International Undergraduate Excellence Award.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To apply for this scholarship, you must:
i. be classed as an overseas student for fee purposes
ii. hold an offer to begin any full-time undergraduate degree programme at the University of Nottingham in September 2024
Value of Scholarship:
The Nottingham Undergraduate Excellence Scholarships are offered towards tuition fees in the first year of your degree course and are valued as follows;
i. Africa Undergraduate Excellence Award - £2,000 to £6,000 tuition fee scholarship
ii. Americas Undergraduate Excellence Award - £2,000 tuition fee scholarship
iii. ASEAN and Oceania Undergraduate Excellence Award - £2,000 to £6,000 tuition fee scholarship
iv. Japan, Hong Kong, Macao and South Korea Undergraduate Excellence Award - £2,000 to £6,000 tuition fee scholarship
v. Europe Undergraduate Excellence Award - £6,000 tuition fee scholarship
vi. Middle East and Turkey Undergraduate Excellence Award - £2,000 to £6,000 tuition fee scholarship
vii. Commonwealth of Independent States Undergraduate Excellence Award - £2,000 tuition fee scholarship
Scholarship Application Guide:
To apply;
i. You must apply for an undergraduate degree course at the University of Nottingham and receive an offer of study before you can apply for this scholarship.
ii. When you have received your offer to study with Nottingham, you can apply through the scholarships section of our application system, NottinghamHub.
- In your application, you will be asked about your achievements, study plans and reasons for choosing to study with us. Make sure you have enough time to prepare strong answers. Nottingham will assess your responses and academic merit when making scholarship decisions.
iii. Scholarships will be awarded after assessing all scholarship applications and you may be offered a a scholarship value depending on your subject of study and the strength of your application. You will be contacted in July 2024 to confirm the outcome of your application
