Scholarship Summary: 
The UCL Masters Bursary aims to enable and encourage UK postgraduates from lower income backgrounds to pursue full-time Master's degree studies at UCL. The bursary is awarded on the basis of financial need and upon the recommendation of the Student Funding Office. 

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
Candidates must fulfil all of the following criteria:
be ordinarily resident in the UK and eligible to pay Home fee rate OR be a Ukrainian student granted Home fee status as part of the Ukraine Scheme;
have commenced undergraduate study no earlier than 2012/13 academic session;
have an annual household income of £42,875 or less;
AND have submitted an admission application for a full-time Master's degree at UCL in 2024/25.

Value of Scholarship: 
There are up to 200 (two hundred) UCL Masters bursaries available in 2024/25 and the value of each bursary is £10,000. The bursary is tenable for one year only unless the student is part-time or on a full-time programme which is 2yrs in length.  In those cases the bursary will be paid 50% in each year of study without exception.

To apply;
i. You need to have submitted an admission application to UCL in order to apply for the scholarship.
ii. Instructions for accessing the online scholarship application form are as follows:
  1. Login to Portico with your normal details.
  2. Click on the ‘View’ button for the ‘Active Application’ that you wish to apply for funding for.
  3. In the application screen, click on the ‘Funding’ in the menu at the top of the page.
  4. You are now on the funding page. To find out which funds you are eligible to apply for click 'Check and apply' under ‘Funds Available’.
  5. Click on the scholarship name of the scheme that you wish to apply for.
iii. The bursary will be awarded on the basis of financial need and upon the recommendation of the Student Funding Office.
