Scholarship Summary: 
Up to 70 scholarships are available to new UK students joining a postgraduate taught masters degree in the Faculty of Science in the 2026/2027 academic year. Scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis to candidates who complete a scholarship application form and can demonstrate excellent academic performance (current and/ or previously gained) and any relevant extra-curricular or professional experience.

Scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis. Awards may be allocated early in the application cycle and so making an early application for admission is advised.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
In order to be considered for a Faculty of Science Masters Scholarship for UK Students, candidates must:
•  Be a new student holding an offer of admission for a taught masters degree in the Faculty of Science for the 2026/2027 academic year.
•  Be eligible for tuition fees at the Home or RUK fee rate.

Value of Scholarship: 
The Strathclyde Faculty of Science Masters Scholarship for UK Students is worth £1,500. The scholarship will be awarded towards the payment of a student’s tuition fee. 

Students studying part-time will receive a £750 award in their first and second year of study, subject to academic progression

Scholarship Application Guide: 
To apply for a scholarship;
i. You must be a new student holding an offer of admission for a Faculty of Science Masters programme for the new academic year. 
ii. A link to the scholarship application form will be included in an applicant’s offer of admission. 
iii. Successful candidates will be selected on their academic performance (current and/ or previously gained), any relevant extra-curricular or professional experience alongside their scholarship application form.
