Scholarship Summary:
The Prometheus Scholarship is awarded to qualified first-year students (domestic and international) every fall semester who have been admitted into the Honors College at Brockport. Applications are evaluated based on a holistic approach, including but not limited to high school GPA, honors and other advanced courses, honors and awards, and extracurricular activities.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
There are no set criteria for consideration but first-year students who are admitted into the Honors College usually have a 94 high school GPA or higher
Value of Scholarship:
The Prometheus Scholarship includes an award in the amount of $6,000 and a campus parking pass. In addition to the Prometheus Scholarship, Honors students receive priority registration privileges, first choice placement in a Living Learning Community, and other benefits.
The scholarship is renewable up to four years as long as a student meets the Terms of Award, which include completing 24 credits per academic year and maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25.
This award is stackable with the Empire Scholarship.
