Scholarship Summary:
The President's Scholarship is Southeast's most prestigious scholarship and is awarded annually to five domestic freshmen students who represent the top of all applicants to Southeast.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for scholarship consideration, applicants must have;
i. Test optional with 3.9 cumulative high school GPA OR
ii. 3.75 cumulative high school GPA with 31 ACT/1390 SAT
Value of Scholarship:
The SMSU President’s Scholarships is valued as $7,000 for tuition and fees, $3,000 for residence hall fees ($10,000 in total). Value increases annually for students who meet renewal requirements.
Scholarship Application Guide:
To apply;
i. Complete an application for admission by November 15.
ii. Complete the online President’s Scholarship form by the Dec 1 deadline.
- Send official high school transcript and ACT/SAT scores
- Submit two letters of recommendation
- Provide essay
iii. Finalists will be invited to interview in the spring and those who interview but are not selected will receive a $1,500 study abroad stipend in addition to their Copper Dome and Residence Life Leadership awards.
