WSU offers academic merit scholarships to Washington residents with excellent academic credentials, and they are renewable for an additional three years. Qualified students receive the award automatically, and are notified shortly after their offer of admission to WSU.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To receive the award, you must;
i. Obtain a minimum 3.6 unweighted high school grade point average (GPA)
ii. Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the U.S.
iii. Be a resident of the state of Washington
iv. Enroll at the Pullman campus as a freshman
Value of Scholarship:
The WSU Washington Freshmen Merit Scholarships are namely as follows;
i. University Achievement Award: $2,000 per year (for two years) {Required: 3.6 Unweighted GPA}
ii. Distinguished University Achievement Award: $4,000 per year (for two years) {Required: 3.8 Unweighted GPA}
