Scholarship Summary: 
The University of Sheffield is offering a number of Computer Science Excellence Scholarships in recognition of academic excellence to overseas students starting an undergraduate degree in September 2024 in the Department of Computer Science.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
To be eligible for an Excellence Scholarship, you must:
i. attain minimum A level grades of A*A*A (or above), or equivalent, including an A* in Mathematics.
ii. make The University of Sheffield your first (firm) choice in the UCAS application process for 2024 entry
iii. commence your undergraduate studies in the Department of Computer Science in 2024
iv. apply to study a full-time undergraduate programme in the Department of Computer Science
v. be classed as an international student for tuition fee purposes
vi. be taking all prerequisite subjects for your selected degree

Value of Scholarship: 
The Sheffield Computer Science Excellence Scholarship amount awarded is dependent on academic achievement, qualification equivalent to A levels:
i. A*A*A - £1,000 including an A* in Mathematics
ii. A*A*A* - £2,000 including an A* in Mathematics 
The Department will confirm equivalences.

The scholarship will be offered in the form of a cash bursary at the start of the course should you be eligible. Once in receipt of this scholarship, you will be awarded £1,000 each subsequent academic year subject to maintaining a 70% overall average mark in the previous academic year.

Scholarship Application Guide: 
Candidates will not have to apply for these scholarships, as they are automatically awarded to all eligible students when they commence their studies in the Department in 2024.
